Mike Gerken is a professional published underwater photographer, documentary film maker, captain, writer and marine conservationist with a keen love for sharks. He has lived and worked in such locations as Africa, Truk Lagoon, Vanuatu and presently in North Carolina, to name just a few. In May of 2011, Mike started his Dive Blog Report writing about past and present dive exploits, presenting his underwater photographs and videos, writing about marine conservation issues and sharing his photographic knowledge in the 'Photo Tip of the Week' section.
